All Edinburgh clubs are featured this week - the arrival of the festival means opening hours are extended to 5am for most clubs!

To add an extra dimension to their funky house the Headspin residents have booked graffitti artist Elph for live painting throughout the night for their festival special. There will also be live percussion, visuals and a festival four deck mix of disco, electro, soul, funk and hip-hop.

Fresh from Firecracker Records, Fudge Fingas delights with disco-tinged house and funk at Ultragroove, one of Edinburgh's premier house nights.

Glasgow

Club: Resonance
Venue: Admiral Bar
Date: 6th August

Described as techno, minimal and deep house from Forbes and Johnston - Lo-Quality doesn't have any info on the DJs, so if anyone makes it down, feed back your report in the comment section. Hell, it's techno, at least stick your head in the door!

11pm-3am, £5

Hypercolour!
Club: Squelch vs Hyperphylo
Venue: The Universal
Date: 6th August

This one sounds like glowsticks are welcome, and I'm personally hoping a Hyper-Colour T-shirt makes an appearance. Residents Ryan Sullivan and Craig Murphy battle out the electro, house, and techno beats in a duel with Fraser McMartin, Chris Harkins and Shaun Mac.

11pm-3am, £4

Club: Riverboat Shuffle Afterparty
Venue: Sub Club
Date: 6th August

Earlier in the evening the Optimo and Melting Pot DJs provide the beats on the 'Rizla Riverboat Shuffle', pondering down the River Clyde for three hours. Shortly after they dock the party continues at Sub Club, with a live performance from Retro/Grade. Party on a ship sponsored by rolling papers and end up in a basement dressed as a pirate for italo disco - arr, that be authentic!
Casco: check the headphones!

11pm-3am, £tbc

Club: Slabs of the Tabernacle
Venue: La Cheetah
Date: 7th August

Even more italo-disco - a whole Glaswegian weekend of it if you like - Slabs of the Tabernacle welcome Casco for their Summer Italo Party III. Spinning vinyl since 1971, I think he's got more than enough practice in to blow your little, glittery socks off!

11pm-3am, £8

Dundee

Club: Headway
Venue: The Reading Rooms
Date: 6th August

We finish off the week with a nod to Headway's residents' party, with deep house and minimal techno from the fingertips of Bruce Anderson, Neil Clark, Graeme Binnie, and Andy Barton.

10.30pm-2.30am, £6
