February (Week 4) Clubbing Listings: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee

Christian Smith
Featured Club of the Week: Jackhammer
Venue: The Store, Edinburgh
Date: Friday 25th February

Jackhammer welcome the melodic techno touches of Christian Smith, combining the old and new school for a bigroom sound. Residents Wolfjazz and Keytes support. The only worrying thing is that Resident Advisor claims Smith is playing in Austria at the Sass Music Club on the same night. Fingers crossed against a double booking!

Sounds like:

10.30pm–3am, £8

Extra: Jackhammer looks more promising with the announcement of Christian Smith guesting at Snafu’s Mothership club in Aberdeen with Adam Ackers supporting. If Jackhammer's booking is of the double kind, then catch a train to Snafu to get your Smith fill! Saturday 26th February, 11pm-2am, £8 / £6 adv / £5 members

Ramadanman
Runner-up Club of the Week: No Sleep

Jack Beats comes back to Scotland after facing the freezing December at The Arches, this time joining the Capital’s Cab Vol, which is celebrating its 6th Birthday with high profile events. Bass Phenomenon Krafty Kuts joins Jack Beats and residents Tim & Jez (Utah Saints) for a special Sugarbeat of breakbeat, electro, house and sweet, sweet beats.

From the people who brought you Trouble (and Limbo and Devil Disco Club) comes another Wonky night of afrobeat, UK funky, hip-hop, dubstep and more, featuring live guests the Asazi Space Funk Explosion and Dam Mantle for a dash of funk, blues and electronica. To add further confusion to Jackhammer’s event, Wolfjazz is also quoted as playing at Wonky (with fellow resident Hobbes). I suspect the clubbing community is spawning clones to cope with all these events!

Club: Karnival
