It’s a freakin’ disco Saturday in Edinburgh it seems with Wasabi Disco providing the cherry for an evening of several events. As part of their LGBT History Month disco, special guest Andy Blake (Dissident Records founder) makes his Edinburgh debut of cosmic, italo, house, and disco grooves. In keeping with the spirit of his limited release one-sided vinyls, Wasabi Disco is very limited entry - first 100 guests only!

This DJ duo need little introduction; you may know them in their Soulwax guise, but you’ll equally enjoy them as electro remix extraordinaires, the 2 Many DJs. They take over The Arches for their very own show, before moving North to conquer the Highlands.

Joy Orbison goes back to back with Jackmaster for the Numbers headline set for dubstep, garage, house, electro and more. Support comes Deadboy who is playing a 2 hour set tinged with electronica melancholia.

Sensu host a special return guest set from Romania-born Raresh (Cocoon), blending minimal tech-house, house and electro. Sensu were the first Scottish club to bring Raresh to the country and the attention of Scottish clubbers, and he returns to update his story in beats.

Supported by Hint (Tru Thoughts) and Benny Boom (Solid Steel), Mercury prize nominated MJ Cole takes centre stage at the Art School to delight fans with garage, UK funky and house

Precision is brand new on the drum and bass scene, with a focus on the freshest local talent, mixing and producing bass friendly beats. They kick off tonight’s show with Renegade, Dark-D, Wapt3k, EmJay and TOTCC.

Tevo Howard is on the Slab this week; he recently rounded off his Beautiful Granville Records discography with the farewell soulful house release, ‘Dusa’, and now makes his Slabs of the Tabernacle debut, joining Andrew Ingram, Brian D’Souza and the Slabs team for techno, italo and disco.

It’s the first AV event of the year so they’ve dug out the dark, minimal techno and invited Soma’s Mr Copy and Chris Lamb of Animal Farm, both stalwarts on the Glasgow music scene. They’re supported with visuals and beats by the AV residents Andrew Winton and Eddie Wagner.

Afrikan Simba and Dixie Peach join Mungo’s for some original rasta action tinged with 80s digital dubs and sweet flows of lyrics praising Jah. Both are heavyweight MC veterans, and it’s advisable to get tickets early to avoid disappointment!

Subculture have reached back in time again to import the best house artists still producing and playing, bagging Maurice Fulton for a night of electronic action with resident Harri. Word has it that Fulton is one of resident Domenic’s favourite DJs, so this is also a personal best for the Subculture crew.

High energy electro courtesy of Mustard Pimp (Dim Mak Records) comes to Jake Beats, with nary a shuffling jakey in sight. The Homebass DJs support with more electro, techno, house and dubstep.
